About Me and my Fursona

Pirate Princess Rei Clover Keishana is a 22 year old pirate princess of Amethyst Valley. After being orphaned and abandoned to die, she has been raised by pirates and lived among buccaneers. She can be vicious despite her irrisistable cuteness at times.

Real Life

Born at Clark Air Base, Philippines on March 18, 1986, Rei has always been a loyal American Citizen. She formally lived in Austin, Texas with her family, (Despite her fursona's imaginary history.) She attended and graduated LBJ High School in 2004. She is an Apostolic Pentecostal Christian, and believes in the Sabbath. She is only fluent in English, but is trying to learn Japanese, Tagalog, and Spanish. Her furry breeds are Rottweiler and Poodle mix, but her real life breeds are Philippine and African American. She has remained a Domestic Dog Fur for about 10 years.

Rei is the oldest of five children. Her friends know her to be funny and laid back. Rei enjoys drawing animals of different sorts. Every now and then she writes stories, but she also participates in forum RP's. Rei's interests consist of pirates, jewels, cultures, nature, weaponry, and games.

Rei lives her everyday life as a fur. While back in high school, Rei managed to wear a tail and a dog tag to school almost daily for her Senior year. A furry friend helped her to realize that she was truly part of the fandom after viewing her artwork displayed in a classroom a few years back. Since then, Rei has been able to recognize other potential furs around her school, and even unintentionally convincing others to join the fandom.

Rei currently lives in Houston, Texas, with her husband, Nite Dragon. They've been married since April 2007, and have so far celebrated a year of marriage together. Rei and Nite are currently attending community college, where Rei is working towards a Graphic Design major, and Nite towards Biotechnology major. They currently have no children together, but plan to within the next couple of years, after college.

> What's the deal with your username, Ray_Sintoffee?

It's based on a joke my little sister (Offspring Unit #3) used to say about an old character of mine. We have this character named Ray-Satachi Syuyo, who is a brown cat hero, based on a story we call Felis Cattus Cattus. Everytime we said "Ray-Satachi," my sister would scoff and say, "Raisin Toffee?"

We wrote stories based on these characters, and even a fake chatroom script where Ray-Satachi's username happened to be Ray_Sintoffee. It continued as a fake username for him, when one day I decided to randomly create the screenname on Yahoo Email to see if it was real, and nobody claimed it yet, so I thought, "Heh, why not accept?" The name began to grow on me, though my Fursona's real name is Rei Clover Keishana, as opposed to Ray Sintoffee.

If you Google the name, it has only been claimed by me all over the web. And anyone else with my username is an imposter, and should reported and be hunted down and locked in a prison cell full of ill-tempered unrelentingly adorably cute bone chewing cabbits happily gnawing away at their clothes and flesh with nonstop laughter of the deceased in the background. Oh yeah, and the cabbits have my initials shaved on them.

> How come I never see you on AIM anymore?

I'm always on AIM, but through the years I changed my username on AIM. If you haven't seen me, I haven't remembered to update buddies on my list. Don't take this personal, as my memory of people has diminished through the years. Like I said, Nite and I are always online, though sometimes we don't respond because we're at work too. If we see your messages, and you're still online at that time, we'll try to follow up with you. Sometimes I can also be reached through my husband's AIM.

> Why do you always wear skirts/ dresses?

Because of my religion. And because it's been such a long time that I have been wearing them, so I'm used to them and very comfortable living in this fashion. There's really been no problem with me wearing skirts, even in the workplace I get away with it.

> What inspired you to draw?

Cartoons. From Felix the Cat to Sailor Moon, Sonic the Hedgehog to the Powerpuff Girls and beyond, I have always been inspired by moving images on TV. I would always try to recreate the things I loved onto paper... I wanted to express myself with my favorite characters. But as I continued drawing somebody else's characters, I began to feel insufficient and unsatisfied. Why was I using someone else's creativity as my own? I decided that maybe I should try to develop something original as opposed to tracing images off of the television set, and so I began. One of my first original characters was an anime-ish looking feline, a cat girl named Nirenaha holding a flower with two butterflies on it, (which represented a certain difficult time of my life.) My sister decided to join me in this drawing revolution, thus both have grown more skilled in producing original pieces.

Not to say that I don't draw cartoon characters anymore. I do believe that Fan Art is alright every now and then, partially so I can adapt to new styles and techniques.

> Why is your fursona a dog?

As a little girl, I was average. Average being, "I'm 9 years old and I love animals!" Well, my sisters and I loved animals so much, we would pretend we were different animals. Some based off of cartoon characters and some based off of our pets. Well back in the day, we used to own a lot of dogs. (And we still do.) I used to imitate the behaviors of a dog. I was aware of many different species of animals, yet I couldn't decide between Dog, Leopard, Dragon, or White Tiger.

For a while I was considered a White Tiger. In chatrooms only. Then I decided I wanted to be a white dragon. In chatrooms as well. Leopard totally went out the window for some reason, and the dog was left, and it was the easiest for me to adapt to, considering I already had some very unusual dog-like talents. (If barking is a talent.) Well, when I discovered I was a furry... I found out I liked dogs a lot. So yeah. Bow wow chow chow.
